Your availability:
Working at AH to go at Amsterdam Centraal means speed, teamwork, and plenty of variety. You are flexibly deployable, for example in the early morning (06:00 AM) or at the end of the day (until 00:00 AM). Your shift lasts a maximum of 8 hours. Due to the nature of the work, it is important that you are at least 18 years old.
What will you do?
Do you like to go the extra mile? Great! As a First Sales Assistant at AH to go Amsterdam Centraal, you will get the chance to carry responsibility and take your first steps towards a leadership role. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that travelers are helped quickly and catch their train with a smile. You are the point of contact on the floor and maintain an overview, even during the busiest moments of the day. You open or close the store, help at the cash register, bake croissants, and restock shelves. In addition, you guide new colleagues and ensure the team works together smoothly.
- Opening and/or closing the store
- Daily operational tasks such as making break schedules and maintaining the store appearance
- Processing cargo and keeping stock in order
- Being the point of contact for colleagues
- Onboarding and guiding (new) employees
Requirements:
You are at least 18 years or older; this is related to the tasks and working hours. Dutch at level B1 is required for this position.
What we offer:
- Are you 21 years or older? Then you earn € 14.99 gross per hour excluding any surcharges.
- Are you younger than 21? Then the youth wage according to the VGL Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) applies.
- The opportunity to get a permanent contract after 7 months.

Good to know before applying
Working at Amsterdam Centraal requires careful planning, especially since shifts start as early as 06:00 or end at 00:00. Because public transport may not run during these extreme hours, you must be able to reach the station within 30 minutes using alternative transport like a bicycle or scooter. Amsterdam students should carefully coordinate these 8-hour shifts with their university lecture timetables. Additionally, please note that Dutch language proficiency at level B1 is strictly required for this position, so ensure you meet this criterion before applying.
