Your schedule is flexible and is set up together with the manager. You work between 07:00 AM and at the latest 01:30 AM, with shifts of maximum 8 hours. We ask that you are flexibly deployable during the week (opening, middle, and closing shifts) and fully available for at least one weekend day. Good to know: you must be at least 18 years old due to working hours and tasks.

What will you do?

At Kiosk Amsterdam, you are almost your own boss. You run your own shop in the middle of the station's hustle and bustle on the platform or in the central hall. You don't keep customers waiting, because you quickly make a coffee for a traveler who is about to catch their train. In between, you restock shelves, bake croissants, or help someone with a warm snack for the road. And you have the best customers: travelers with their own stories, whom you give a good moment before they move on.

  • Preparing coffee and sandwiches for travelers.
  • Restocking shelves and coolers.
  • Helping customers quickly and friendly at the counter.
  • Ensuring your Kiosk looks neat and inviting.

  • Additional employment conditions on top of the CAO.
  • The opportunity to get a permanent contract after 7 months.
  • Working with a fixed number of hours per week.
  • Flexible shifts, no nine-to-five job.
  • The dynamics of the station and great colleagues.
  • Up to 60% discount at various shops at the station.
  • Travel allowance up to a maximum of €10.50 per day (from 10 km). We do not reimburse parking costs and do not have fixed parking spaces.

Good to know before applying

Located in the bustling heart of Amsterdam Centraal, this Kiosk role requires shifts that can end as late as 01:30. Since public transport options in Amsterdam are limited during late-night hours, you must ensure you can commute home within 30 minutes without relying on trains or metros. Balancing these shifts with your academic schedule at the UvA or VU requires proactive planning with your manager. Be sure to verify the Dutch B1 language requirement in the source description, as it is essential for interacting with local commuters.
