Your availability

Your schedule is flexible and you will coordinate it with the branch manager. On Saturday and/or Sunday, you are available for shifts starting from 05:00 and ending at 23:30 at the latest. A shift lasts a maximum of 8 hours. Due to the duties and working hours, it is important that you are at least 18 years old.

What are you going to do?

At Kiosk Amsterdam, you are almost your own boss. You run your own shop in the middle of the station's hustle and bustle on the platform or in the central hall. You don't keep customers waiting, because you quickly make a coffee for a traveler who is just about to catch their train. In between, you restock the shelves, bake croissants, or help someone with a warm snack for the road. And you have the best customers: travelers, each with their own story, to whom you provide a good moment before they move on.

  • Prepare coffee and sandwiches for travelers.
  • Restock shelves and coolers.
  • Help customers quickly and friendly at the counter.
  • Ensure your Kiosk looks neat and inviting.

Dutch at level B1 is required for this position.

This is what we offer:

  • Are you 21 years or older? Then you earn € 14.99 gross per hour, excluding any surcharges.
  • Are you younger than 21? Then the youth wage according to the catering collective labor agreement (horeca-cao) applies.
  • Additional working conditions on top of the collective agreement.
  • The opportunity to get a permanent contract after 7 months.
  • Working with a fixed number of hours per week.
  • Flexible shifts, no nine-to-five job.
  • The dynamics of the station and fun colleagues.
  • Up to 60% discount at various shops at the station.
  • Possible contribution to your travel expenses up to a maximum of €10.50 per day (from 10 km). We do not reimburse parking costs and do not have fixed parking spaces (unless indicated otherwise).
  • Do you want to combine learning and working (MBO level 3 or 4)? Then there is an option to follow a BBL program.
  • An induction program (including a buddy system and onboarding app).

Good to know before applying

Working at Amsterdam Centraal is highly convenient for students living in Amsterdam, but keep in mind the early morning (05:00) and late night (23:30) shifts. The employer requires that you can reach the station within 30 minutes without relying on public transport, which is crucial to verify against your local commute (e.g., by bike or walking) before applying. This weekend role fits perfectly around busy weekday study schedules at UvA or AUAS. Ensure you meet the B1 Dutch language requirement specified in the source.
