At Kiosk, you run your own shop at the station! Flexible schedule, fast coffee, fresh sandwiches, and nice travelers. Become the hero of the platform; with your service and smile, every journey starts a bit better.

  • Good salary
  • Opportunity to grow
  • Flexible working hours
  • Training programs
  • Fun and friendly colleagues

Your availability:

Your schedule is flexible and will be discussed with the branch manager. The early shift starts at 05:00, and the late shift lasts until 01:15. We are looking for colleagues for the closing shifts until 01:15. Due to the work duties and times, the minimum age is 18 years.

Station Amsterdam Zuid is fully in motion! From November, we are opening no fewer than 3 brand-new shops. A unique opportunity to help build from the start and be part of something new.

What will you do?

At Kiosk Amsterdam, you are almost your own boss. You run your own shop in the middle of the station's bustle on the platform or in the central hall. You don't keep customers waiting, because you quickly make a coffee for a traveler who is just about to catch their train. In between, you restock the shelves, bake croissants, or help someone with a warm snack for the road. And you have the best customers: travelers with their own stories, whom you give a good moment before they move on.

  • Preparing coffee and sandwiches for travelers.
  • Replenishing shelves and coolers.
  • Helping customers quickly and friendly at the counter.
  • Ensuring your Kiosk looks neat and inviting.

Dutch at level B1 is required for this position.

This is what we offer:

  • Are you 21 years or older? Then you earn € 14.99 gross per hour, excluding any surcharges.
  • Are you younger than 21? Then the youth wage according to the catering industry collective labor agreement (horeca-cao) applies.
  • Additional employment conditions on top of the collective agreement.
  • The opportunity to get a permanent contract after 7 months.
  • Working with a fixed number of hours per week.
  • Flexible shifts, not a nine-to-five job.
  • The dynamics of the station and great colleagues.
  • Up to 60% discount at various shops at the station.
  • Travel allowance up to a maximum of €10.50 per day (from 10 km). We do not reimburse parking costs and do not have fixed parking spaces.
  • An onboarding program (including a buddy system and onboarding app).
  • If you want to combine learning and working (MBO level 3 or 4), there is an option to follow a BBL training program.

Applying for this job:

You must be able to reach the location within 30 minutes without public transport, as it does not always run in the early morning or late evening. We find it important that everyone who works with us feels at home. This is reflected in everything we do, including our hiring policy regarding diversity and inclusion.

Application procedure:

  • Application received: We have received your application and will let you know within 2 weeks if we will proceed with you.

  • Employment: Welcome, you are employed by NS!

Good to know before applying

Amsterdam Zuid and RAI are major business and transport hubs in Amsterdam. Since these closing shifts end at 01:15, standard public transport options like metros and trains might be limited. You must ensure you can commute home safely within 30 minutes without relying on public transit, making a bicycle or scooter essential if you live in areas like De Pijp, Buitenveldert, or Amsterdam-Oost. Balancing late-night shifts with early morning university lectures at VU Amsterdam or UvA requires careful planning. Be sure to review the Dutch B1 language requirement in the source listing.
