Your workplaceWelcome to Eye Bar & Restaurant, the hospitality venue of the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam-Noord. In a building that is itself a work of art, we daily receive museum visitors, tourists, and locals for coffee, lunch, dinner, or a movie night. The kitchen serves modern European dishes with seasonal products and local flavors. With a view over the IJ, this place bustles every day, from quiet mornings to full rooms at premieres.

Your teamYou will work with a close-knit team of more than 40 colleagues, who contribute with passion and pleasure to the cultural days of visitors. Our team is diverse, creative, and involved: from barista to chef, everyone contributes to one goal, surprising guests with experience and quality.

Your roleDo you really want to learn the hospitality trade in practice? At Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam, as a BBL apprentice, you get all the space to grow in the service profession. No dusty classrooms, but a stylish working environment where hospitality is central. You learn from experienced colleagues while participating in daily service. You are part of a driven and professional team that strives every day for a high level of service with a smile.

What will you learn and do?

• Welcoming and guiding guests in a way that fits our luxurious appearance.
• Professional service according to correct carrying and serving methods.
• Advising on dishes and drinks with flair and knowledge.
• Working with the cash register system and settling payments with an eye for detail.
• Complying with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Working on your communication skills, so you stand strong on the work floor.

Your growthWe find your development important. You receive personal guidance on the work floor and the opportunity to discover where your talents lie. Together with your practical supervisor, you set learning goals, paying attention to your training requirements and your ambitions. Your ingredients

• You are following a hospitality-related BBL education at level 2 or 3, focused on service/hosting.
• You have a passion for hospitality and interest in working in a place with an eye for detail, atmosphere, and quality.
• You are eager to learn, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with people.
• You are flexibly deployable, also in the evenings and weekends.
• You are open to feedback and want to continue developing.

Our side dishes

• An internship allowance of €550 (MBO) or €800 (HBO/WO) per period based on full-time

• Payment every 4 weeks, meaning you get paid 13 times a year
